So sex ed provides immunity from STDs? The things you learn on the interwebs.
You have to try really hard to ignore the previous post and do exactly the dumb ass thing it warns against.

Our sex ed was taught by local health care officials. You seem to be very anti-education. Why?

Byrd had sex ed (Probably.) And then he kissed a court that could have had so much herpes on it from people kissing it the year before. See how much good it did him?!?!?

Not against it. Just don't think it is necessary for everyone.Watch Out Pylon! wrote:Giant Moose wrote:

All I remember from sex ed was that it was a Disney produced movie and kids laughing when they said penis out loud

Byrd had a kid at a young age. Being a father so young seems hard.Travis of the Cosmos wrote:Watch Out Pylon! wrote:

Pretty much this for me as well. Maybe some got a better education in it and it was more worthwhile for them.CORNER BLITZ wrote:All I remember from sex ed was that it was a Disney produced movie and kids laughing when they said penis out loud

How do you judge who doesn't need it? Is there a test you can administer that would show a proclivity towards raw dogging?

You could let parents opt their kids out. I really don't get the big deal.
OMG!!! Some kids were subjected to a couple hours of sex ed!

It's not a religious thing for me but rather more about a kid using that classtime to learn something else that would be more useful for them instead.Heat Miser wrote:Giant Moose wrote:

Is there a test to determine who needs to take French class? I would treat it just like any other elective. If you think you need it or want to learn it, then it's there for you to take it.Watch Out Pylon! wrote:Giant Moose wrote:

No one needs French class. Period. No one.Giant Moose wrote:Is there a test to determine who needs to take French class? I would treat it just like any other elective. If you think you need it or want to learn it, then it's there for you to take it.Watch Out Pylon! wrote:

You realize it's not a whole semester, right? It's like a week.

Some people do think they need it or want to take French to expand their horizons. I don't think forcing sex ed class on people who don't think it's useful is the way to go.Travis of the Cosmos wrote:No one needs French class. Period. No one.Giant Moose wrote:

Those are probably the people who need it the most. Unless they post on tRCMB, then there is no need for sex ed.Giant Moose wrote:Some people do think they need it or want to take French to expand their horizons. Perhaps it was different at your high school, but ours was a semester in a class called Health. It talked about sex ed for about half the time and the other half on physical health. Much of it was taught through movies.Rocinante wrote:Giant Moose wrote:

So then we should eliminate driver's ed? How about driver's licenses?

I'd be in favor of both, remove the boot of the government from our throats one hob nail at a time.
Maybe we could get really radical and quit licensing barbers?
