Former high school teammate Donnie Corley has worked on behalf of Michigan State to try to get a commitment from him.
“He told me, knowing how their DBs are, I’m going to start,” Thomas said. ‘He told me I’m going to start. I love that opportunity.
“The coaches aren’t telling me that I’m going to start, but they’re telling me, ‘You’re playing, no doubt.’ So that’s just wonderful just to know that.”

I hate that we're back down to this as a program. One that sent two first round picks in back to back years. A program which had very good Corners before our two first rounders. Now, for reasons you all can explain (lack of judgement on picks, lack of work ethic, lack of coaching-I'll defer to our experts) MSU, a feared defense three years ago, is now having our own players say "He (meaning Corley) told me how their DB's are".

Fuck, these young kids hated the DB's too. "How they are". Corley is saying they lack talent or work ethic. Maybe both.

Cumber, a DB from from Denver is on his 3rd or 4th verbal.

Wisconsin to MSU to reopen to MSU and as of now Colorado State that's about 1800'miles closer to home.

Tell him, we don't want you to make fieldgoals, we're not asking you to be accurate, you need to be able to kick the ball 75 yards in the air, and we'll let you have a width of 53.3 yards. <---------160 ft----------> 75 yards deep. we'll give you a 27K dollar scholarship to do it 95-99% of the time.

Ambry Thomas has been considered a UM lock for months, shouldnt come as any surprise.

And yeah, Corley is telling it like it is. We really lack CB talent. Which is mind boggling since thats supposedly Dantonios bread and butter. To go from having first round picks at CB to needing to convert two frosh WRs to play CB is a massive fall.

If MSU can a couple out of Tyler Johnson, Hamler, DIB, or Jaylen Harris thats as good as we can hope.

Looking at how PSU turns their playmakers lose compared to Warner, easy choice.
