We said no cheering

How is this considered disturbing the peace? It doesn't sound like they did enough to warrant any charges.

Even if they were obnoxiously loud and disturbing others, the dismissal was enough. That this principal is pressing charges is ludicrous. Fucking Nazi.

Isn't this pretty standard at all HS graduations. I know for ours they requested no cheering or clapping. I don't remember it being threatened with being arrested, but to be done so they could get through the ceremony without it taking 4 hours.

I actually more agree with this than I do my explanation, but getting arrested is taking it a bit far. OTOH, I think they threatened to not give us our diploma's if people cheered for us, so I'm not sure which is worse.

I recall a similar announcement at my HS graduation, then everyone's family ignored it and cheered anyway as well as the graduates.

I agree that it's impolite, but it doesn't make them fucktards, nor should it have made them lawbreakers. And I've been to enough of those things to know it's about the time element more than it is about noise.

As long as I can take my loaded AR 15 to the graduation, I'll be quiet.

We were told no cheering. Half the families did, half didn't. Mine didn't, wished they had at the time actually. All the actual graduates cheered. What're you gonna do, suspend us?
