Former NBA first-round pick, Grammy nominee follows passions


Maurice Ager has two passions in life – music and basketball.

The former NBA first-round draft pick has been fortunate enough to make both a career.


After playing five seasons in the NBA, Ager transitioned to music fulltime and received Grammy consideration in 2013 for his collaborative song, “Far From Home.”

While he’s on the path for a successful music career, Ager is often asked why he decided to retire from basketball following his release by the Timberwolves in 2010. To answer that question, Ager posted a series of 30-second videos on Twitter
