Which is a bigger injury for the B1G contenders?
MSU losing LB Ed Davis for the season (knee) or the Buckeyes losing WR Noah Brown for the season (leg)?

I got carpal tunnel from jacking it too much. Why isn't it listed above? It stands to threaten my ability to lift a beer with one hand and eat popcorn with the other.

Re: Which is a bigger injury for the B1G contenders?
CBS Sports has us losing Davis as the biggest preseason injury in college football.
1. Ed Davis, Michigan State linebacker (knee): Sustained Aug. 12 -- out for season.
Who is he? A fifth-year senior, Davis was an All-Big Ten honorable mention pick last season with seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss. He was projected to be a top playmaker for the Spartans and a possible All-American. "He may be as good a linebacker as we've had," Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio said before the injury. "I'm talking about from sideline to sideline, the ability to slip blocks, the ability to get off blocks, the ability to pressure quarterbacks, make tackles."
Next man up? Sophomore linebacker Chris Frey appears to be the replacement. Frey played in all 13 games at linebacker and special teams in 2014, registering 19 tackles. He was ejected for a targeting hit on a punt against Michigan. "Chris Frey is doing a better job," starting middle linebacker Riley Bullough told The Detroit Free Press. "He's out there being more vocal, being physical, playing fast. … Right now I think he's looking at being the starter."
Outlook? Davis' loss doesn't mean Michigan State should be counted out as Dantonio frequently finds unheralded players, but the Spartans already were facing questions at cornerback. Losing Davis adds one more unknown for a defense that faces Oregon on Sept. 12 and must beat Ohio State's offensive juggernaut to win the Big Ten.
