When Dantonio arrived he knew he had to have some unexpected plays because he didn't have the personnel to pound opponents into submission. Team looked lethargic against Northwestern and the game turned on "Mousetrap". He didn't want to pound it out against ND, saw an opening .

He's willing to take chances and as his team's have improved he'll still take shots like the fake punt. Opponents have to be on edge which is just what he wants.
