I'd forgotten the leadership he showed regarding that shale oil in North Dakota and Canada, thanks for the reminder!

The president has about as much to do with oil prices as weibs does with msu football recruiting.
At first I just wanted to make a weibs joke. Then I realized that this is actually a pretty accurate comparison.

Re: $1.69 a gallon
This is not exactly a win-win. As a consumer living in the now, we think it is a win-win. Step outside the consumer mindset and think long-term, and maybe it is not a good thing. First, when oil was selling at higher prices, the energy sector was a reliable source of capital investment. At a time of economic uncertainty, other sectors were less reliable. That economic uncertainty remains, but low oil prices also mean the energy sector becomes less reliable in terms of capital investment. Second, given the current political climate in the Middle East, this might not be good. The obvious point is that oil dependent Middle Eastern and Gulf states will have few resources to fight ISIS and other radical groups. However, it also opens the door for increased instability. As oil revenues dry up, authoritarian states will have to play nice with domestic populations, which creates the space for more political protest. No guarantee that goes well. Lastly, this is not good for state revenues here in the US, especially oil producing states.

Da Fuq? I'm pretty sure I just paid $12/gallon (I get the friends and family plan) for beer at the Peanut Barrel. This shit will not stand. That muslim product of miscegenation in the White House needs to answer for this.

Venezuela is pretty much f'ed at this point. The need oil at upwards of $80/barrel in order to keep a halfway functioning government.

What an idiotic post - so we should have higher oil prices because it funds middle eastern fighting ISIS, I think that the middle eastern/gulf states are funding ISIS and other terrorist Anti-American organizations.
And that fuck Putin is cash strapped, he would be even worse with more oil monies

nothing more American than filling that big gas guzzler (sorry Bob, in this regard you are NOT a great American)
I remember when gas spiked to $4.00+, and I was driving my '99 Suburban that had a 44 gallon tank.....that's right I could put over $175 into that tank at one time (although I would typically stop at $100)
