Merindorf Rib eye Steak - Oh My!
I know, I know, but I just ate one pound fresh off my grill. Seasoned with garlic, sea salt, ground pepper only. Cooked perfectly, served with blue cheese crumbled and melted over the top. Super simple meal - broccoli, baked potato, corn on the cob and this powerhouse steak. Sangria to drink and Lemon tart for dessert.
I can't find better steak than Merindorf''s and I honestly stopped looking a couple of years ago. If you know of a place, let me know. If you don't, I hope you had as good a supper as I did this Mother's Day.

For some reason I thought you were Hindu. Guess I was way off on that one!

A few times I've bought a full bone-in rib loin. Like 20#. Then dry aged it in a fridge for month or six weeks or so. THAT is the best steak. I bought one from Merts and another grass fed from a farmer. Merts is pretty great.

I am a corn-fed Midwestern white boy (kind of like the steer I dined on last night!) and have been all my life. That doesn't preclude me from being a Hindu, but I am not one yet.

$12.99 is a goddamn bargain.
The blue cheese ON it ? Pass..... Make a wedge salad if you need blue cheese ( I love it). But never put it on a ribeye.
That's a sin

I tried to cook some Steak-umms on the grill for the wife this weekend, but those bastards kept slippin' through the grates.

My daughter did. Oranges and raspberries. That mixed with the triple sec made a tasty Sangria. I would have added an umbrella, but we used them all up the last time I had Sangria!

I sinned then, and will again. What is the ideal way to serve ribeye? I think we did pretty well with the blue cheese....

I don't mind bleu cheese on a steak. Mushrooms sauteed with a little red wine are better.MasonGuy wrote:

Goodrich 's shop right has good steak. For 23.99 / lb you can get some really good beef.
I believe Mother's Day is the the busiest day of the year for KFC.
