In a glass and let it sit for a minute or two. Still on the prowl for the mini keg. They haven't done that since 2011 or 2012 I believe. Had 3 12 oz. glasses on draft the other night and man i was feeling good.

Know you're not a true beer guy but try using a glass with this canned stuff. The color and head are amazing, plus it tastes much better.
It may taste better in a glass, but I doubt you could detect a difference between being bottled in glass vs. can.
I think he could, and I'm pretty sure I could, too.

I prefer my IPA's to be poured out of its original container. I think there is a slight difference in taste and that some of them need to breathe.

Do you prefer bottled/canned or draft?

Re: Hopslam
I never really had a preference, just whatever I liked and however it would come. If I was at a bar and they had 2 hearted in a bottle, can or draft, I'd probably take the draft option. Mainly because that is typically the cheapest.NigelUno wrote:InTenSity wrote:I prefer my IPA's to be poured out of its original container. My dad called to tell me he picked up a 6 pack for me. Anyone know how long you can keep Hopslam before it goes 'bad'? Or is there a way to ship it through the mail? I think they are going to visit in March, so it should be ok to put in the luggage, right?

You should fly in to surprise visit him and drink it with him. Sure it would cost a couple of hundred of dollars you weren't planning to spend and maybe it's crazy especially since he's visiting soon, but your dad isn't going to live forever and you'll talk about the time you did that for the rest of your life.InTenSity wrote:My dad called to tell me he picked up a 6 pack for me. if he's flying down, be sure to have him buy it in cans... that way, when it's in his checked luggage, it'll explode in the unpressurized cargo cabin, soaking his finest clothes.InTenSity wrote:My dad called to tell me he picked up a 6 pack for me. Bought some Stella the other day on sale. I like getting Coors in cans too. I predict a resurgence for Coors soon as kind of a hipster beer, but maybe just in the Rockies.

the straight up Coors - the "banquet beer" in the gold can - is pretty tasty. I don't mind it at all.NigelUno wrote:Robert J Sakimano wrote:reminds me, I need to run by Oades and pick up some Old Style. You can get three 24 oz cans for 5 bucks.

Though I admittedly fell for the marketing campaign back in the 80's with Coors Light sponsored the number 1 professional cycling team in the United States. We would chug Coors Light after long rides in the mountains.

It doesn't go bad per se but by summer time the hop flavor will drop out and it will taste different.

Got another sixer this morning. The store that I got my first one at sent an email saying they got a second shipment and were selling them starting at 5 yesterday. I could not make it because of kid stuff. I was at the bank so decided to stop in this morning and he had 3 left.
Actual quote from dude who rang me up. "You pour it in a glass, right?"
Which one of you fuckers owns a party store?

It does not age well. Buy what you can find and have a party with all your closest friends asap.

There appears to be a lot of liquor stores, some grocery stores, and restaurant/bars that show up on the map near me. So, you might be wrong?

I think I had some All Day before, so I bought it again. Couldn't remember.
Had a bottle on Super Bowl Sunday. Has been sitting in the fridge since then. Someone has to drink it. Second bottle seemed to taste better than the first. Wouldn't buy again. Haven't seen Griffin Claw down here, but haven't really looked.

Regardless of what anyone's opinion of it is, All Day IPA is making Founder's uber rich. Not bad for basically an oxymoron of a beer style.

All Day has 826 reviews to Gateway's 11 reviews. Griffin Claw doesn't have anywhere near the distribution Founders has, so many of you may not have had a chance to try.
Best part of the "session" thing is Gateway has great flavor at 4.0 ABV...compared to All Day's baked-under-the-Sun-for-a-month piss flavor at 4.7 ABV
