Agree.

I am guessing Dantonio would never let this happen again either. It shouldn't be an issue next season because MSU doesn't have an experienced qb. But if Terry or OConnor lead the team to a Big Ten title next year I would bet good money they will be a captain the following year one way or another.

As far as where I think he'll get drafted, like I said, as long as we have administrations like the Browns, Raiders, Bucs, etc., everyone has a chance to be a first rounder.  But that doesn't mean the players didn't hurt CC's overall resume.

.

Let me sum this up.  Cook could get drafted in the first round.  He could get guaranteed up to 12 million dollars.  He could be a top QB or top three taken in the first.  If he does, that means Cook got fucked by his teammates.

Am I following this?

We get why you've created this thread, and here is what you can take to bed tonight:

Cook's draft position will be determined by his workout at the combine and his pro day at MSU.  That's it.

If he doesn't look good, he's a 3rd rounder at best, if he is hitting on all cylinders, he's going to do well.

Now, it also depends on who is picking where and what that NFL team needs.  Left tackles for a team like Green Bay, might be more important than a rookie qb.  What do the lions need?  Is Stafford the answer?  Do they need other things more important?

If Cook rips the shit out of the workouts, he'll get drafted high.  To many good things he's done and big stages.  If his shoulder is still fucked up, he'll go low.

wE've had a billion examples of assholes being taken by NFL teams.  Who did the cowboys call a leader this year?  Some guy who beat the shit out of his girlfriend?

Cook's draft position will be determined by his workouts.  But if you want to make another thread about discord on the football team, it's fine.  More entertainment.  It's an old scctick, but it's cool.

"We"?? You mean you and those 20 other posters hanging off your nut sack from board to board? Dwag's bitches?  lol!

To your question, no you're not following. Whether CC goes in the first round or the fifth round, he still got shafted by his teammates. He deserved better.

What's the point of starting this thread now ? If I recall correctly, Cook was not voted a captain in August.

Did it effect his play on the field or MSU football in anyway this year ? No.

Will it effect his draft status ? No.

Does it mean anything for the future of MSU football ? No.

Why does the OP care ? ( I'll let logic take over from here ).

You'd have to ask the media and the players.  I'm just reacting to recent news stories.

And to be fair, I started a thread way back then too. Razz

Why? You already answered 'em yourself, making them somewhat rhetorical questions.

Just curious what you thought. I really didn't expect any particular insight.

I think CC got fucked by his teammates. I have no insight, as per usual.

OK.

I think we can wrap this up.

Cook should have been captain, regardless if his teammates thought he should have been captain.

Makes sense.

Agree, although I don't know why you needed four paragraphs to say just that. I would've gone with a single paragraph myself.
