HBO's The Leftovers

Post by Death Roe on 2016-02-11, 13:58

I just started this show the other day. I'm on season 1 episode 5 right now.

It's a very interesting show so far. I have heard season 2 is almost like a brand new show compared to season 1.

Anyone else watch it?

Uh, I've had gelatinous, thick pea soup, it's TERRIBLE.
Pea soup, much like clam chowder, needs to have that consistency first, that you can stand the spoon up in it, but the spoon soon tilts, that's the consistency you want.
Number two: Uh, pea soup on it's own can be a little bland. It wants, uh, a fairly aggressive peppering and salting.
Number three: Pea soup needs a fine dice of ham. Not bacon, not any other meat, not turkey. It needs a fine dice of ham.
Uh, number four: Uh, pea soup scorches easily. You don't wanna heat it on a high heat. You wanna heat it on medium low, just until it's warmed through.
Uh, number five: Pea soup is best made, uh, by hand, not out of a Campbell's can. And the key to pea soup, you want a ham bone, uh, for the stock you make, uh, to, to boil your peas.

I binged all 20 in last 3 weeks. Weird fucking show especially the second season. I liked it. They just got the order for a third and final 10 ep season.

Carrie Coon is way hot. Really like her.

Yeah, I just got done with the ep where she and Kevin bang in season 1. Noice.

Do you think Kevin fucked Aimee when he was blacked out?

Sadly no. She is quite the little minx. BTW she's like 25 and gotten naked in a couple different things.

I really like this series. One more season seems just right. As weird as the 1st season is, the 2nd season is weirder.

I watched both seasons. I just went along with whatever is supposed to be happening. It's a good filler show.

Holy balls, I just finished the show today. Can't wait for season 3. This was one of the best TV seasons I've seen, probably the best since Breaking Bad Season 4-5.

Season 3, the final one, premiering in April, taking up Game of Thrones' spot. GoT is coming in the summer.

That is some of the worst trolling I've ever seen.

Person A claims a show is great because no one knows what the plot is.

Person A claims a different show is not as highly regarded because it relies "cheeseball gimmicks"

Anyways - Herb, if you want to have some actual discussion about the 2 shows, I'm down, but you're going have to start with something better than this.

I don't know if I have enough interest in this argument. But I stand by what I say. Westworld is a mish mash of scenes and plots that are cheesy and poorly acted, but they show them in random orders that leaves the viewer to figure it out. It just seems more like a cheap trick than brilliant.

More will be revealed in season 2. Way better than season 1.

Where to start?
I mean, the first thing with pea soup is the texture, okay?
I've had watery pea soup, it's AWFUL.

I watched the International Assassin episode yesterday. Probably the most WTF episode in a WTF series.
