Duke Lacrosse 30 for 30

Anybody watch this last night? I only caught the second half, but damn that was a pretty depressing ending. Reminded me a lot of that Making A Murderer series. The guys accused are even a part of that Innocence Project that Stephen Avery was a part of.

The DA was disbarred and doing who knows what now. The powers that be are looking into other cases of his for improprieties. The prostitute is in prison for 2nd degree murder now. Even one of the cops involved eventually committed suicide. Just a sad story all around.

It was a classic case of jumping to conclusions. Then making it worse was when they knew they were wrong NO ONE would own up to it. The Duke faculty, the Duke administration or the Prosecutor.

I wonder how the young lady was dressed?

It was frightening how an over zealous prosecutor and a police force who made up evidence could do what they did. Those duke kids had the ways and means to defend themselves and frankly the billable hours that one attorney did going through the dna stuff had to be immense. It was amazing to see the DNA guy and the prosecutors face in the court room when they both realized the defense attorney digested the 25 thousand pages of gobby gook dna evidence and figured out how much evidence they with held on purpose. Nifong had to know as a prosecuting attorney he was going to jail at that point.

Since she didn't get raped does it matter? Since she worked as a stripper and was paid $800 to strip at their party I would think even a you could guess how she was dressed.

At least these were well-off kids with the resources to fight their prosecution. But there are thousands every day that are wrongfully convicted by the same types of cops and prosecutors.

Someone even said that at the end of the show. "They mention that this was a unique case. That's not true. This happens all of the time."

They showed the pics from that night. She definitely wasn't on her way to her job as a legal secretary.

We can't make any assumptions based on her dress, though, that would be sexist, misogynist and anti-feminist.

Girl was mentally ill. she was as much of a victim as the three duke players were. She later comits second degree murder. One of the cops comits suicide, and the PA goes to jail and is disbarred. It's classic government power run amok.
