Much lower than he deserved, and probably drafted as trade bait since the Raiders already have a young QB, but whatever .

As for the NFL, they really deserve more Johnny Manziels, Jamies Winstons and Frank Clarks. Those are the types they want to reward with millions of dollars. Mother fuckers!!

Ive figured it out: Numerous GMs colluded to keep Cook undrafted to the 4th round so that he could then be traded to a team that would have liked to have signed him in the 1st or 2nd round. So now- that team that acquires him through trade gets him for much less money. This strategy is probably replicated throughout the draft in order to supply 1st and 2nd round key players throughout the league at a discount.

You guys are really confusing me. Why in the world would I read threads that aren't my own?? That would mean that I think the rest of you have something important to share. And we all know that's just not the case. For example, if a thread about congratulating CC can turn into a baseball pitcher sleeping with CC's mom (as apparently discussed in threads not started by me), that just goes to prove my point.

They are, but ask Charles Rogers if they put shit in your contract that would require an automatic pay back. Charles didn't quite figure that out.

Unless the agent negotiated a guaranteed 1st year salary, the only thing guaranteed about it, is the Raiders would be unlikely to cut him in his first year. Likewise, none of the remaining years would be guaranteed. His signing bonus would be guaranteed (unless they put some provision in it for him to repay part of it if he got cut in any remaining year...which would be rare).

Burbridge and Clark signed deals also. They got relatively small signing bonuses. They won't get paid on their contracts (in the first year, or obviously any remaining years) unless they make the team.
