Ken Holland is a sack of shit. He doesn't know his ass from his elbow. Illitch would be wise to offer Yzerman a Detroit casino and some Little Caesars money to come and run this show. Mantha should of been playing since day 1 and yet KH likes to throw big money on undeserving vets like theres no salary cap. Also even with Spartan goggles on Drew Miller does not belong in the NHL. Unlike Abdelkader, Miller has gotten progressively worse since college, cut his ass. /rant

As of right now only Arizona and Colorado have worse odds of making the playoffs. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/NHL.html

The best was the article today that stated that Detroit might not be sellers at the trade deadline! "TSN's Darren Dreger appeared on NBCSN last night, stating that the Red Wings would "stay the course," and perhaps engage in a slight sell-off at most"

I said on tCock after AA's 2nd game the wings should lock him up cheap for multiple years. I did not see  Mantha coming though, he could be a nice piece like a more skilled Brian Boyle.

No doubt, he's got his work cut out for him, this year was going to be effed no matter what because of Datysuks contract, but also we're too invested in Zetterberg

Should Mike Ilitch pull the plug on Ken Holland?

I think so. Time to move on and rebuild. Already have a new coach and a younger roster, minus well clean house at the GM position.

I think Yzerman would come back. I don't think he can win a Cup with the Lightning.

Open up LCA with a young team, younger coach, AND the Captain coming home? Holy shit that'd be awesome.

I would love to see Stevie Y back in Detroit, but there is very little chance he would be interested. Of course I never thought Babcock would end up in Toronto, and then trucks filled with massive piles of money showed up at this front door.

You two both need to be a bit more respectful. Yzerman? Stevie Y? It's "The Captain".

No disrespect intended, the streak needs to end. The Wings have been trying to build a team that will be playoff contenders - they need to rebuild the roster to become Cup contenders again. Keeping a playoff streak alive looks good on a t-shirt, but not quite as impressive when you realize that most years the Wings get pantsed in the first round.
