You should check out Pinery Provincial Park. Nice trail for a crossbike, if you have one of those.

I don't think I have one of those.. few mountain bikes, a few road bikes. I could probably make it work, though.

but I'm usually kinda busy - one of my biggest regrets in life is that I don't get Up North often enough.

Fall colors are bursting in Michigan's Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park

ONTONAGON, MI - From a perch high above the picturesque Lake of the Clouds, fall's signature crimson and gold already are melting together to overtake the forest of green in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park.

While autumn colors are running a bit late this year, fall leaf peepers heading to the Upper Peninsula won't be disappointed. Bob Wild, interpreter at the park's Wilderness Visitor Center, snapped a set a pictures Friday, and added more on Monday, Oct. 3. He agreed to share them with readers of The Grand Rapids Press and MLive.

I was there long ago = like early 80s. I'm planning a trip into Copper Country/Keweenaw for next summer, I may try to go back there.

IB4 snarky comments from OTPT and gHost and anybody else living near bigger, taller mountains. "Porkypine Mountains? More like Porkypine Hills."

If anyone made a mess like this of a trail down here they'd be in jail.

I don't oppose drilling, mining and logging - but have respect people. This company should be fined, made to pay remediation and then banned for X number of years from public land.

Lib my ass. If a group of people did that with their 4x4s it'd be just like goose said, they'd all be in jail and more than likely their rigs would have all been confiscated.
