I am really impressed with how the Tigers are playing with season on the line. I have no problems with the core of this team moving into next year, not one. Every position is solid enough to win a division. The young group of starters will probably get a little better and last longer into a game. Does not have to be spectacular, just steady. Relief pitching continues to be the weak link for the better part of the last decade.

And Miggy could lose a few pounds if only to save himself some bruising when he takes that extra base and has to slide that big body. Cuz you know he will.

Other option depending on how things shake out would be to save jv for Monday and Fulmer for 163 and roll the dice with Sanchez or Boyd tomorrow

The most interesting thing in all of this is the al wild card game is supposed to be Tuesday and the Tigers might have to play game 162 Monday. Screwing the whole schedule royally if their needs to be a 163.
