Out around the house.
I'm hosting family Christmas twice this year so sorta fell an obligation to put out more effort than usual.

lol, well not quite. Doing extended family Christmas on the 24th, then quick clean up and my kids and families back again on the 25th. So 30 or so on Christmas Eve, then 12 or so on Christmas Day. If we get a blizzard I'll have enough food here to feed everyone in the general vicinity for a couple days.

I love the holidays. Putting up the holiday tree, singing holiday songs, pigging out on holiday food, like pig, for example.

lol of course. I've got 2 Spiral sliced hams and a Turkey here ready to go when needed. (Pro Tip: Meijer has "Cook's" brand Spiral sliced ham right now for $1.17# - I bought them last year and they were pretty good). I refuse to cook a turkey 2 days in a row so one group or the other is getting lasagna. I'm thinking my kids would prefer that anyway.
We do very little singing though and I think the neighbors appreciate that, maybe a little raucous "Rock Bottom" around the camp fire in the summer but that's about it.

Obviously. 6 ft tall Christmas Mickey and Minnie.
I also have a light up santa and reindeer.
I used to think our neighbor's house was gaudy. That was before I had kids.

My neighbors put up lights but only a couple of inflatables.
Mother-in-law lives in Kentwood and they have seen people getting the stuff in the front yards stolen or in the case of inflatables slashed.
I am in the clear no blink light camp and haven't gone to LED's because of the color.
6'6" tree / 700 lights

Re: We put the Tree up tonight -
Bought my tree the day after Thanksgiving. We used to always get it during the long weekend after Thanksgiving, but there are a limited number of decent 11 ft+ trees. So we try to beat the rush a little, get it up with some water, but don't decorate it until that weekend.
Also deck the house out pretty good with lights, which is my Black Friday tradition. We only have three 3-foot inflatables, which is a compromise I made with my wife and daughter. I don't like the big ones because it takes away from the lights too much. Also a couple of lighted reindeer, a little wire and mesh teddy bear, a plastic Santa, and a shit ton of lights.
