I know Harriet well. My parents used to spend a couple of months every year less than a mile away from there, and we'd always drive right by this nest between exiting 75 and where we turn to their place, often stopping to take pictures. I had heard Ozzie died, but didn't know she had a new mate. Way to get back on that saddle, girl!

I make a cup of coffee and I hear this bird calling like it's in distress. I'm thinking it's out my window. It faces lake St. Clair and you see some shit by the water sometimes. I'm lookin gout the window and I figure it out, it's the eagle on my computer. I go to the page and it's up looking at the eggs and making the eagle noise. I thought those fuckers were hatching yesterday. But then it just sat back down on it. I'll miss the hatch but it will be cool as hell to see the baby eagles.
