McQuaid nearly had a perfect game but he screwed up the line with 2 rebounds and I can't figure out how Langford disappears.

Nairn plays good defense but I agree he needs to figure out how to distribute to scorers. Good defense with 3 points and zero assists won't help turn things around.

Ok I just got done watching. Lots of personal stress with the DVR and peeps knowing the score.
The team actually made strides. Izzo shortened the bench and we got Cash back. Hopefully it is not too latem. I am still more pissed about Izzo's bullshit in previous losses that would have been far easier to win than today. But we just can't do it the easy way. Hopefully it won't bite us in the ass this year and miss the tournament

I thought IU had a run where they were 6-6 on 3's in the 1st half. Didn't we catch up in the 2nd half in part because Harris got hot?

I don't think Tum is anywhere near a quality point guard. He's barely an adequate back up. But the reason this team is 12-7 is because they don't defend at traditional levels we are used to seeing. They're very close to having the highest PPG against in Izzo's history at MSU. They also don't rebound at anywhere near traditional levels. They are currently 90th in the country in total rebounds. They rarely finish outside of the top 20 and are usually top 10.

I would think these last two games put an end to this myth that Tum Tum is this great defender. He is a decent on the ball defender but talented and/or bigger guards score on him at will.

Point Guard play after Mateen has been a disappointment overall. A couple of good ones, but injuries did them in late in their MSU careers. Too bad. There were probably a couple of NCs to be won in those 15+ years.
