They might very well rescind it after doing almost nothing to change the vetting process. In fact, I would go so far as to say they won't. But it doesn't matter, it will have done it's job which is to make it clear that Muslims are not welcome here. If it was about security at least one of the countries that produced the 911 hijackers would probably be on it. It's a signal.
