I always thought that maybe the preferred walk-on was more skilled at actually walking.. ya know.. maybe walking with a purpose.. a little pep in his step.. with cheer and vigor.

so I was out running down Grand River this morning.. didn't see any participants doing the Walk of Shame..

made me think.. is there a "preferred" Walk of Shame? or just a regular, more traditional Walk of Shame?

Of course there is bob. Preferred walk ons get picked up by Dantonio and get a high five. Traditional walk ons have to wear the shame boot while walking home and have to knock on every door asking the residents if they need anything from meijer. They don't actually have to go buy those things, but they have to ask.

Preferred walkons get to come to camp early, start lifting, doing things scholarship kids do right away. Walk ons, wait till enrolled, and start later, when school either starts or a bit earlier. Know a kid who Just signed with SVSU out of Grosse Pointe South. Day before he signed, Dantonio called him and asked him to be a preferred. I think it had to do with the arrest of the one kid. Kid wanted to, but family said too late, we gave SVSU our word, and it's a money thing.

my main reason for asking was that a kid from sorta near where I grew up went to Alabama as a "preferred walk-on" - it was down to that or a scholarship offer from Illinois State. scratch

I assumed Bama needed some blocking dummies.
