I read this story this morning. I didn't want to, but kind of forced myself to do it. I don't know what the fictional character is, or anything about that, but it did seem weird that these girls were into whatever it is. Anytime I read a story like this, I wonder if things like this happened in the past, but with the world or even US not as connected as it is now, did these stories stay a bit more local?

How did two 12 year olds get this obsessed with some fictional character? What could the parents do? Do we have to track everything our kids do? I don't really agree with that either. What are the warning signs? It sounds as if the victim will survive, which is amazing. I just can't fathom that happening to my daughter.

When I was 12, I was a latch key kid and had free run of my life until late into the night. I did some dumb shit, but I never hurt anyone. Something is wrong with at least one of these girls. The other could be a follower. I'm not exonerating the parents, they need to provide a good example, but sometimes people are just fucked up, even at a young age.

The game is fucking creepy. Kid I know went as slenderman for Halloween, idk it's just a creepy ass game. You can google it and play it.

There's nothing in the game that states that he kills you or anything of the sort, one of those kids are fucked up and the other one is really easily persuaded into doing dumb shit
