Flynn and Sessions memory regarding meetings with Russians

After Nancy Pelosi accused Republicans of “splitting hairs” over Jeff Sessions’ reported meetings with the Russian ambassador, she did the very same thing when she was asked a similar question.

“You’ve been in Congress a little bit and you’re in leadership, have you ever met with the Russian ambassador?” Politico reporter Jake Sherman asked Pelosi on Friday.

After an awkwardly long silence, Pelosi answered, “Not with this Russian ambassador, no,” before quickly trying to move on.

“Is it normal to meet with ambassadors?” Sherman asked.

“Yeah,” Pelosi responded.

Trump accusing the former President of wrongdoing and insisting it be part of any investigation involving Russian involement is a master stroke.

There is little chance the GOP majority leadership of the US Senate and/or Congress are going to authorize the funds for an investigation of Russian involvement. Trump insists his accusations be part of an investigation that will never happen.

Similar to his taxes. He says he's being audited. The IRS can't say anything and Trump won't produce any correspondence from the IRS to prove he's being audited.

Careful what you wish for. If more Republicans flip and call for an investigation, I'm not sure that's going to benefit Trump. I doubt calling Manafort, Flynn, et al in front of a committee is going to be good for Trump.
