Saw him once at the fox. He was doing the acoustic thing. Completely depressing. All the death and dying songs. He said "if anyone cheers, tell them to shut the **** up" He's better with his band.

Springsteen to me - most of it is between good and awful. A lot of material so I can give him props despite not being a huge fan. I can listen to the River and skip 2/3 songs.

But then he has a few songs that rank in my top 10 period. Thunder Road and Used Cars. And really the whole Nebraska album. That song about watching the headlight dissappear, taking turns dancing with Maria as the band played Night of the Johnstown Flood, The Judge asked me why I did it. That is some deep shit. One of a few albums I would always play start to finish driving across the country.

Born To Run has Thunder Road, Night, Backstreets, Born To Run, She's The One, and of course Jungleland. The album had only 8 songs... 6 of which are outstanding and 4 of which are timeless. Many will get on me for not including Tenth Ave Freeze Out, but meh....

That album should be used in every rock music theory curriculum.

He's the Boss.

Yeah I played the only few I could find and had to stop them. I have my own story with that song so he would ruin it - even though he probably lived it and I did not. I still feel like I was there.

the video is hard to watch... but it's a catchy tune.. reminds me of my junior year in high school.. Bruce Springsteen Is Overrated 502811600

I think Bruce would approve. He's mellowed out quite a bit over the years. We tend to do that as we age..
