I live off of 21 mile . I hear yea with hall Rd. With all that fucking construction, many are taking 21 mile to avoid it. Which has sucked extra for me. I'm screwed either way.

The absolute best are at Toni's Country Kitchen in Laurium but the Keweenaw is probably way out of your way. Will your travel route take you anywhere near Marquette? Have heard about Lawry's Pasty Shop for years but never tried them. If you check their website they offer 17 ounce pasties...which is the size all pasties should be.DWags wrote:you want a certain kind let me know. Actually from any place on this mlive list, a few of which are conveniently on US-2 headed back to the Bridge
13 U.P. Pasties you must try on your next visit
I'm on Big Beaver/16 Mile/Metro Parkway at least twice a day between Dequindre & Mound. Let me know when you think you might be passing thru

Rutabaga, definitely. It's the one defining ingredient that makes a pasty, a pasty. Carrot and rutabaga is okay...that's the way my mom made them.DWags wrote:The Pantry wrote:The absolute best are at Toni's Country Kitchen in Laurium but the Keweenaw is probably way out of your way. Flavor? And I'll make either, so if you prefer a cobbler let me know. All you'll have to do is pull off the freeway quickly at Grayling.

Time for you and Bob to discover what "UP North" really means. Meet for drinks at Peanut Barrel or El Az to draw straws to decide which of you drives both of you across the Bridge. The loser buys pasties in St Ignace then has to drive both of you back across the Bridge. Could be a cool bonding experience.
I know it could never happen. You're both pussies.

I've been going to or living in Petoskey since before I was born. Not one of my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, or godparents have ever called Petoskey P-town. On the other hand, anybody I've ever known who has talked about or referred to Provincetown, MA, has at one time or another called it P-town.
Google P-town and you'll see what I mean. I double dog dare ya.

Bob will ride his bike to the MC and get the Bridge Authority to give him a lift across. GreenWay will drive, stop in MC at a gas station and ask what time the Bridge swings over to the Island because, you know, he is not bright.

Nuh-uh, bruh.
And it doesn't count to say you're from Petoskey if you're really one of those creepy pervs from Alanson or Oden. That's like saying you're from Detroit when you really grew up in Farmington.

More likely, I'll call for a water taxi from the Pink Pony. I'm not taking a ferry to the island. I want a freaking Chris Craft. Boats made the way boats should be made.
