Herbie, valuing freedom seems common sense to me. We are all born with natural rights that allow us to enjoy and pursue life, liberty, and property. Why does the state get to regulate property to the extent that it denies innovation and inadvertently increases risk?

That is generic gibberish. I used to call myself a libertarian in my late teens because I was an idealist and it sounded cool. I am still all for personal freedom but those models of efficiency and innovation are based on a flawed model that human greed leads to some utopian result. The reality is that if we are left to our own devices our greed will destroy the very freedoms you want to obtain.
