(renamed) Albums from the 70s and early 80s that are the tits.
I want an album that is a good listen from front to back.... No Disco, no easy listening, no zeppelin (I am too familiar with it). Any part of the 70s.

I listened to Pacific Gas & Electric, but Spotify didn't have the whole album. I kinda like that 70s funk/rock. I might go on a bender of that soon.

I'm barely breaking over the decade line with this one, but, I barely remembered this band and wanted to check this record out. NICE.

Gotta respect anyone who includes Tonight's the Night, but you're missing
Exile on Main Street - Stones at their finest
Traffic: Low Spark of High Heeled Boys
Cream
Steely Dan, take your pick, Katy Lied, Pretzel Logic
My memory is slow in my old age, just had Roxy Music, Country Life pop up on Pandora, also Avalon was a pretty good album
If you've never listened to them, Blue Rodeo's first album, Outskirts came out in '87. Excellent band, along with another Canadian group Tragically Hip

Exile was 1972 and yes it was the best by them.
Low Spark was 1971 and great album
Cream was done before the 70s started
I loved Pretzel Logic (1974) and almost put Aja in there at 1977 but Lamb and Aim are better in my opinion.

Bruce's best album is, and will always be, The Wild, the Innocent & the E Street Shuffle, though Born to Run is awfully good
Have you ever been into older Fleetwood Mac? Like Bare Trees with Bob Welch, or the original group with Peter Green, (pre 1970) hard to believe they kept the same name, totally different bands.

no but I should probably dig a bit more into the older Fleetwood Mac stuff.. my parents listened to them a lot when I was a kid (70's) so I'm mainly familiar with that era..I.B. Fine wrote:

We've been following Blue Rodeo for ages. We were in Ireland playing golf and met Jim Cuddy in the streets of some small town I don't even remember the name of. He processed the restraining order after that.

The first three Cheap Trick albums are among some of the best U.S. rock albums ever made. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. I think of them as a cross between true punk rock attitude and true rock musicianship. Because of the way they sold themselves and looked on stage, they always get dismissed as frivolous glam rock or a hair band.

I saw them at the Royal Oak Music Theater shortly after the Heaven Tonight release. Greate show. I seem to remember Rick Nielsen had about dozen cigarettes going at once on stage, most of them stuck in his guitar strings.
