There are other things going on in his life. I hope they aren't life threatening

Except for 1 year in Louisiana Anderson spent his entire career in Utah and Arizona before taking the Wisky job. When he left Wisky there were reports his family missed the LDS community and there is a large LDS community in Corvallis.

Some people can't handle the pressure of being a HC but he's made millions in the last 8+ years so if he retires at 53 he shouldn't starve. Parseghian walked away at 51.

He didn't like UW Madison's admission office, the budget for assistants and his family didn't like Madison. They are a LDS family (Morman)that had lived in Utah most of his career. Corvallis has a large LDS community but that didn't help him win games.
