The NCAA has made it clear that they'd rather allow this stuff to go on in CBB and just give the school a slap on the wrist than pay the players. Look what happened at UNC. It will be very interesting to see what they'll do when Lavar Ball's son LeMongelo or whatever pulls up to Pauley Pavilion in his Lambo.

I think that's why I'm so anti-cheating. The penalties that kept us out of the Rose Bowl dated back to what, '73? It was a painful time. Maybe it's because I was a kid, but I was sort of ashamed for my favorite school because, back then, getting caught meant there was a dark cloud hanging over your school. Even the infractions during the Perles years sucked. The loss of scholarships that we imposed on ourselves (to satisfy the NCAA) had a huge impact on Saban's early years. I also think we probably wouldn't be treated the same as the bigger name schools like a Kansas or UNC.

The FBI cleared Jr. of taking the money (or knowing about it). I don't think that will change the NCAA's position on it. They added a rule after the Cam Newton situation regarding parents acting as agents. If Louisville let him play, that would harm them big time in a suit with Pitino. Alexander (@ Kansas) was ruled ineligible when news of his mom taking a loan came out. No way he plays at Louisville. If he hasn't transferred already, he needs to get out of there pronto. Maybe he could play D1 somewhere else by January 2019.
