And it's possible this isn't abnormal but it's pretty laughable. And alarming.

There is limited government that Libertarians are all for, and then there's the scorched earth strategy that Trump is working on. Basically he's putting the most ill-prepared people in positions of power and watches what happens. It's kind of like giving a toddler a chemistry set. Hopefully he doesn't burn the house down.

Can't wait for the midterm elections and possible impeachment proceedings to follow.

so let me get this straight.. a reality TV star who has filed for bankruptcy 5-6 times doesn't know the first thing about successfully running an organization such as the federal government and appoints unqualified people to important positions?

Even taking into consideration how nervous this guy is, the inability to answer basic terms used frequently in federal court is unacceptable. It's as if he did nothing whatsoever to prepare for this hearing, and that's not counting even once having been an actual attorney of record--not some first year associate helping with (not conducting) a deposition.

tl:dr -- It's highly abnormal for this to occur, even in what would certainly be a most intimidating senate hearing.

It's not something he'd ever be able to live down. I do think he was probably nudged to withdraw, but he knew he'd become a laughingstock and came to his decision on his own.

since he has some spare time on his hands now, he should volunteer to sit outside of schools and shoot grizzly bears.. ya know, to keep the children safe.
