Did the Miami Heat Meet Expectations
Re: If the Miami Heat Breakup, did they they fail to meet expectations?
4 Finals, two wins. Could have easily been 1 win and 3 losses if not for miracle Ray Allen and a Spurs choke job in 2013.
Not one, not two, not three, not four.....
Not one, not two, not three, not four.....

I am always drawn to the answer if it contains "You're an Idiot if..." Was this poll about Verlander? I think he can make it back if he dumps the hottie.

The Pistons,Celtics, and 76ers teams of the 1980's would have prison sexed The Heat. Laimbeer making Bosh cry, Lebron having to deal with Rodman and Wade dealing with Joe D or Isiah? Heat wouldn't have made it out of the East, let alone the 2nd round.

Even those 80's Bulls teams would have won

It wasn't Twitter or 'Merica that set the bar so high, it was the players themselves. They failed to meet the definition of success that they set.

Exactly. Remember when Rodman shaved "Trilogy" into his hair? Then the Pistons get swept by the Bulls.

Miami is toast. How memorable will their four year run be compared to other runs? Again, it seems like Miami underachieved. I think Riley wanted to build something to last beyond four seasons. It blew up today.

I think it will end up being very memorable. It will always be referred to as "LeBron's college experience" or something like that.Turtleneck wrote:Miami is toast. Spoelstra is like the rag doll in all of this. He gets no credit and no blame. Just a puppet.

I'd say they performed about on par with expectations. Maybe not their own, but reasonable expectations. They left a ring or two on the table but didn't fail, not even close.
