Because that lame joke is really the only response this thread deserves, but if it's racist, I won't say it. Roc, please advise.
It wasn’t until you made it a thing bro.
Okay, then I won't say it.

He’s doing more with less this year.
Based on what? Starz?

Who goes pro his team? I see both Bridges and JJJ having better nba careers than anyone on the UofM team. Wagner looks like a good college player, I can’t see him guarding well in the nba and think his offensive game gets shot down by an nba d. Maybe as a shooter he does alright.
Who else? rahkman? Matthews? Simpson? I guess I could see Rahkman getting some minutes. They all just seem like really good college players imo. Coached up well, in a good system and lots of experience.

Simpson=Cash. Maybe a slight edge to Winston
Rahkman>>>Langford
Miles>Matthews
JJJ>Livers
Wagner>>>>>>>>Ward. By a mile
U of M bench>>MSU bench
Let's stop acting like Beilein wins with MAC talent.
More with less is a myth.

I sort of agree, but I think we are making different points. I think there’s merit to the B____ coaches players up. I also think he runs a really good system.

I'm kinda down on Ward, but that's too many >s in Wagner's favor too. Fuck you, man.

The mental gymnastics you have to run through to be a true SPARTAN while not giving credit to rivals while explaining their success while not diminishing ours while shitting on the correct MSU player while lauding others while defending coaches like Duffy does is exceptional

Beilein and Michigan are having a great year. Jesus Christ people. The hell is wrong with some guys? You need to knock down legendary work while building up and trying to compare people to whatever the fuck crosses your mind. Pat Summet is the Sparky Anderson of women’s basketball. Bob Huggins is the Nickelback of the NCAA tournament. Stormy is the Nick Saban of porn. Bob Costas is Facebook of broadcasting.

Some guys have great years. Izzo has had a shut ton of them. A shitty year is winning the big and getting to the second round. Cool. Beilein said today he is running the same fucking system he’s been running for 25 years but he knew if he could get to Michigan and better athletes he’d be more successful. But assholes like us who really know shit about the game say “he’s adapted” “he’s changed”. STFU

Wrong. steve knows. Beilein has changed. Izzo needs to adapt. His offense is stale.

Re: Hear me out with MSU-UofM rivalry
Fair enough screw Beilein’s offense, Izzo should get a Steve Pikiell offense.
Hear me out..when I watched those games I saw his players driving the lanes, manning up one on one and using a move to burn our guys to the basket. Did they beat us no, but that’s not the point. That was the first game this season where I was like this guy can’t recruit for shit but how come these guys I never heard of can drive and handle the ball so much better than our guys? I’ve watched a shit ton of basketball the last couple of weeks and every team I’ve seen in the tournament besides us can drive the ball and create plays off the dribble. Maybe not all of their players can do it, but they’ll have a few that can do it really well.
The answer I don’t have is it the way we recruit or is it our scheme. My hunch is it is both. I really do not think it is unreasonable to say after two Bill Self level flame outs in the first round with a talented roster that Izzo should adapt. His offense has looked very stale to me for quite a while. A lot of poor movement with and away from the ball and chucking ugly shots as the clock is about to expire. Seems like the key to shut down MSU is run back on the transition, and force them into half court sets. When in half court sets there’s usually a couple of players you know that won’t shoot, won’t drive and this year there was one that couldn’t handle double teams. I feel like all these issues give the opposing defense a tremendous advantage. My opinion.
Regarding Izzo he’s the man and gets to choose his exit. Never once called for him to be fired or retire. Just adapt and get a Pikiell offense.

Also, Coach K swallowed his pride and started running a Beoheim defense. We all saw it last night, it was a mirror image of of what Syracuse was doing. If the greatest coach of all time can do it so can Izzo.

Part of the reason our offense has suffered is the change to a 30-second shot clock a few years ago, which nobody ever talks about. Our intricate sets don't have as much time to develop, which leads to chucking up shots as the clock expires. You need dribble drivers with the shorter clock, which we don't have.

Haha! The good news is a Pikiell offense looks like it could handle a 25 second shot clock.
