I have been sick at least 4 times this summer. That is more illness than I’ve had the previous 3 years. My daughter is a disease vector. She’s goddamn Typhoid Mary.

Went to work at our new building this morning for the first time. Got there early to snag one of the dozen or so parking spots available for employees near the front entrance. I'm old, my feet hurt much of the time and didn't want to walk the 150+ yards from the rest of the employee parking area.

Whoever designed the building is an idiot. They tripled our old office space while reducing the number of urinals and stalls we had before nearly in half. Didn't like the idea of having my desk on the 2nd floor originally but think it's not that bad now. There are currently 35 male coworkers on the 1st floor...two stalls and one urinal. There are 12 of us on the 2nd floor...two stalls and two urinals. The stairways are at either end of the office. The dudes on the 1st floor will have to be really cognizant if they have a day of the shits because I think the company might have to institute a take-a-number system downstairs.

We have 10 female coworkers in the office. There are an equal # of stalls for them as stalls+urinals for the guys in the entire space. Remember seeing chicks entering the mens bathrooms at the Silverdome, Joe Louis, and Pine Knob (saw a few piss in the sinks) to relieve? At this new building, in the worst circumstances, I can picture the reverse happening with guys going into womens bathroom to shit.

Sterling Heights building department must have it's head up it's ass to approve the building plans. Haven't checked it out yet but been told the situation will be even worse for guys out in the shop once they move in.

Sometimes my oldest kid brings home some really unintentionally funny shit he was working on at school. I just looked at a paper he had in his folder. On the left side: Headless Horseman Facts. On the Right side: Igibob Crane. That's it.

How dangerous is leukoplakia? My dental hygienist checked to see if they were cancerous and I was completely in the clear. She mentioned her husband (who is also a chewer) has it, and that it’s also never been positive or had any signs of pre cancer. Basically, if you put anything in your mouth repetitively for lengthy periods of time you’re going to develop leukoplakia

Not that I want to cause friction at home, but why would you be expected to be the one who has to disinfect your home? Now, if neither of you have time to do it, that’s one thing. But otherwise, those are the type of duties that should be shared or taken on by Nevets entirely if he has a more relaxed schedule.

Don’t worry, it’s a shared job. Neither of us have time to do it. But he probably cleans more than I do since I’m gone a lot with work.

Can confirm. Daycares are a disease factory. Never in my life have I been so sick so often since the kid came along.

Kids were constantly sick. From when the first was born till four years later when the wife and I said we can be poor and figure shit out so she stayed home for 15 years. From the first month, no ear infections, no rash shit, no running noses.

We loved our day care. Thought it was great. But kids were always sick.
