Piss poor trolling attempt again. You should move away from the izzo topic, getting stale.
I think you've lost your ability to post asinine threads that incite anyone. You need work.

You're missing Blanch's point. He's not asking whether you agree or not; he's saying that it is probably used as a negative recruiting tool.
If you were the coach at another school recruiting the same player, would you consider using that angle against MSU? You probably would.
Take your MSU hat off for a second. It doesn't take much to realize that serious injuries are as much part of MSU basketball as winning is, especially over the last 4-8 years. It may or may not be related to something Izzo is doing, but if I were competing against MSU for a player, yeah, I might use it.

Coaches are using Cleaves getting hurt as a negative recruiting tool?
The Cleaves that won a national championship?

Let us go over than angle. Here is the scenario. Bacari Alexander is at the house of a young recruit - a five star blue chipper from Escanaba that is 6'9, 250lbs, and can play the 1-5 - and they have the following conversation.
Recruit: Thanks for coming all the way to the UP, Mr. Alexander.
BA: No problem. I love it here. It has inspired so many tweets.
Recruit: Great! But I have to be honest, MSU has been here a lot and they were the first to offer.
BA: But their helmets do not have wings.
Recruit: What?
BA: Nevermind. I got confused. It's how we sold McGary on the program.
Recruit: Anyway, I like Izzo's no nonsense approach. I can be a part of a great program and he is going to prep me for the NBA.
BA: Let me tell you something about Izzo. He runs his players into the ground. He does not care about your NBA career. He is going to run your body right into the ground and you will not have a thing left for the NBA.
Recruit: Can you give me an example?
BA: All day, son. Take Mateen Cleaves. He got hurt in the national championship game because his body was too weak after four years of Izzo.
Recruit: He came back in that game, MSU won, and he was drafted with the 13th pick.
BA: OK. How about Kalin Lucas?
Recruit: You mean his totally random ruptured Achilles tendon?
BA: Yeah. I guess that was not on Izzo. Bad example. How about Chris Allen?
Recruit: He got booted from the team. He did not leave MSU injured.
BA: Well you can't dispute Payne?
Recruit: He was so injured that he scored 40 in his first Tournament game this year and might have jumped himself into the lottery. Is that who you are talking about?
BA: Yeah. Well, uhhh, what about Delvon Roe??
Recruit: He was injured before he got to MSU. This is going nowhere. None of these guys were run into the ground. This doesn't make sense. You need to go. I want to a Spartan.
BA: Wait, watch me boil some water. You will want to be a Wolverine.
Recruit: What?
BA: Shit, more stuff that worked on McGary.
Recruit: Leave
BA: Fine. But I brought Brady. He's in the car. He came for the pasties. Do you have a pound cake or something?
Recruit: No.
BA: Ok. See you on Twitter.

And you missed the point that he created this negative recruiting tool in his helmet-protected head. He didn't hear it through the grapevine; he literally manufactured a way for other schools to recruit against his own school's team.
Most fans would think of ways to help their school, not create issues against it. And you're defending him.

Re: izzo will wear you into the ground
Why is everyone focused on MSU? Because you only really watch MSU, so you know it that much better? Injuries and accidents happen at all schools. I have no idea if MSU has more or less than other schools do. Its possible that we are much more open about injuries than others are. Hell if Dantonio was the BBall coach, we wouldn't even have this discussion about injuries, because he never reports them. There is no real way to find out what happens at other schools. Isn't it possible that if a kid gets injured at another school, teams stop to recruit them or don't renew their scholarship, or 'encourage' them to find another program?
