Who knows. Second guessing a managers move against a team as good as Boston is really just entertaining a crap shoot imo. Winning the World Series is a crap shoot in itself. A lot of things just have to come together and Boston just has it right now.

Yeah, sometimes you take a risk and it blows up. I firmly believe at the end of the day Boston is just the better team right now.

Also to defend Roberts a bit he’s made it to the Ws 2x in a row which is very difficult and I thought the Yankees went down the road of firing Joe G for second guessing his playoff decisions. I think Boone sucks compared to Giarardi so I guess even with a loaded roster it can get worse. If Dodgers are smart I stay the course and fight to get back again next year.

We were thinking that he’s nothing more than a guy who can write big checks and we were no longer that team Steve. That’s not the guy you want in charge of rebuilding. Not that Avila is either.

If baseball instituted a salary cap I think you’d find quickly that he’s a ken Holland type. Only good when you give him unlimited money.
