I agree with that. The warriors are probably breaking up this summer so things should open up for some other teams but I don't think Butler is that guy

Yeah I don’t know if butler is their dude either. In fact, they could probably call any middling team and get any player they want for that price. It’d make sense for both teams.

Not that they’d want him either, but imagine giving up Drummond and having 2 first round picks each of the next four years for it. Not only the players you’d bring in, but the trade possibilities it opens up if there’s someone you really really want.

(We wouldn’t do it either since were going to the finals and winning that shit this year.)

Well I’m assuming some kind of contract extension situation would be involved.

More to my point is just that any first round pick 3 years from now is basically worthless for Houston. They aren’t going to stumble themselves in to harden and Paul in their prime again in 4 years. It doesn’t fuckin matter, they’ll be at the bottom by then no matter what. Do whatever it takes to get a shot to win now or next year.
