Speaker Pelosi has requested that the racist, bigoted christian sexual predator cancel it, reschedule it or submit it writing due to security concerns as it relates to his shutdown.

of course, he won't - because it'll give him an audience to stoke racial hatred and fear toward.. and the mainstream media will, of course, lap it up like the good little enablers that they are...

but it's nice to see her put him on notice. She's genuinely a great American.

If she's anything, dumb isn't it. Reverse psychology. I can't think of anything better to further the cause of his opponents than having him speaking publicly.

Point of order- as the letter says she invited him on January 3rd to speak in the House chamber. I think she’s rescinding that and offering him to delay it or submit it in writing- it’s not up to him to just do it anyway. Thus the whole “different branches of government” thing that used to matter.

yep - and when some of the Dems were clamoring for another Speaker, I was like "I get it.. but now is not the time to elevate a noob to a position of power" - and this reaffirms that view, I think.

Funny you say that. Popular opinion on CNN is he’ll just speak from the Oval. However, it occurred to me driving back from beautiful Okemos that, given Trump’s history, he’s much more likely to hold a rally and give his idea of a SOTU in front of thousands of ~~enthusiastic~~ brain dead Trump supporters.
