Do you pre-cheese your tacos?
Best way to build a taco is not with the meat first, but a layer of cheese on the taco, butted up against the shell, and then the meat. Gets the cheese all melty delicious, then construct the rest of your taco.
If you really want to go crazy, add a second layer of cheese to the top of the meat, thought it won’t melt as much once you add the vegetables or whatever you put on it.
The answer, my friend, is pre-cheese.

I find the secret to a killer taco is how you heat up the tortillas.

Not on board with this Greenway. I'm usually all about melting the cheese, but not on tacos. I like the combination of cheese and lettuce, with both being cold, contrasting the warmth of the meat.

This is eye opening. By the way, i Jus saw a thing that said if you eat your hamberdler by turning it upside down you lose less stuff out of the side.

Wife insists it goes meat then cheese to melt the cheese. I'm a meat, lettuce, then cheese person, just like Tacobell.
Funny timing on this thread. Thursday night the wife made venison tacos!

Yep, I’ve done this as well and I love it. Tacos are so friggin good. In college I was a burrito guy, but I don’t get burritos anymore. Maybe an enchilada here or there but mostly tacos.

Makes sense. The weight of the burger would trap the toppings and condiments against the bun. Good idea.

Here’s more pre-cheese advice: Before adding the spaghetti sauce to your pasta, add your favorite cheese first. Same idea. Add more on top, too.

Re: Do you pre-cheese your tacos?
Depends on the taco. I've found that with steak tacos, cilantro and some chopped onion is the way to go. However, on ground beef tacos, lettuce and cheese are a better fit.Jake from State Farm wrote:MiamiSpartan wrote:Not on board with this Greenway. Thanks! Good to be here. The cheese first approach also prevents the taco shell from getting soggy from the meat juice. Same concept as putting Mayo on the bottom bread of a sammy to keep the bread from getting soggy.
