Verizon..

"massive outage" since earlier this morning..

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -- A massive outage is targeting Verizon Wireless customers, particularly those using iPhones, across mid-Michigan Wednesday.

Reports of a problem first started around 10:45 a.m. Affected phones are showing "no service."

So yeah, I had to go pick up a cake for my wife's birthday at lunch. Realized pretty quickly I had no idea what the best route was from my work to the bakery and no GPS to get me there.

We are so fucked if someone jacks up our phones for an extended period of time.

for the first time in a long time, I actually wanted/needed to call my wife (I detest talking on the phone.. even with my lovely spouse) -  - but I have been working on and off with some folks back in North Carolina about my parent's house, making offers, home inspections, etc - and I really needed her advice on something fairly time-sensitive. I couldn't text, couldn't call..

yeah I'm not sure what kind of phone I have.. but I don't think it's exclusive to any one style.

You guys must be mistaken, I am regularly told Verizon has the nation's best network.

I can send Verizon to talk to one of my old friends.  She used to call me Mr. Mid Michigan.  Not because I was some body builder hunk, but because I knew how to get around Mid Michigan using only a map (it's crazy to think of all the different places we went before GPS...even leaving the county we live in!).  Anyway, I know, cool story.  If it makes a difference, she was and still is smoking hot and, since I offer no pictures to prove my claim, you can ban me. (please don't)

The outage interupted my Jocko Wellink podcast stream during my drive this afternoon!!!

It is actually pretty crazy seeing some of the Twitter posts (some half joking like mine). And I'm no better. I pulled over and tried everything to get it to download, knowing there was a service issue.

This is about the equivalent as saying Alabama is not the best college football program after they lose a game to Ole Miss. If you have a Clemson-level wireless alternative that is cheaper, I'm all ears.

No complaints about AT&T. If I found something cheaper that worked just as good I’d switch in a second but to date they seem like a hassle free option.

Same. There’s an occasional dead zone, seldom are there dropped calls, and its app makes it easy to pay, plus, it sends a text reminding me to fork over the cash, which I actually like.

If I remember correctly Blanch was suing Verizon over a phone he had when he was still on his moms plan and was gonna own them. So I assume this is the service quality you’re gonna get with Vureyezon under the new ownership.
