Need to keep this going. Not exactly Mio, but good on these fine Mesick people.

Free lunch at Bucksnort saloon for road commission workers. God bless all of them.

The Bucksnort was our turnaround point when I went snowmobiling up in the area. Started in Cadillac, went through a shitload of trails there. Got up to Mesick around lunch, got back into Cadillac right after the sun went down. (Keep an eye out for ice fishers at night. You can get dangerously close to their setup before you notice them). Fun times.

Kinda? In up north terms I suppose so.

Wonder if there's an official game watch party in Mio today.

Where's the snow
Went to Roscommon mid January. Was shocked the only snow on the ground was a few plow piles next to parking lots. This winter has got to be near record for least snowfall up there.

There's rumors running rampant in Oscoda county that I'm HIV positive at that weight.

for those interested in the greater Mio area doings..

The next regular Oscoda County Board of Commissioners Meeting will be held on Thursday, Mar 28th at 6:30 p.m. The Commissioners invite the public to attend their regularly scheduled meetings for 2019 which are normally held each month on the 2nd Tuesday & the 4th Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. All meetings are held in the BOC Meeting Room in the Courthouse Annex (105 S. Court St.) unless otherwise posted.

I suspect that the BOC Meeting Room in the Courthouse Annex isn't far from the McDonalds so feel free to park at McD's and walk over to build in a little exercise into your evening.

mine (where I was born and raised.. not East Lansing) was an Inn/Golf Resort/Spa.. which is about half a mile from the house I grew up in... lovely area.

We were from the other side of the tracks, though, and growing up me and my buddies would wade into the ponds on the golf course and fish out golf balls.. and sell them to the members at the driving range. Clearly it was an act of charity on their behalf.  Mio and area Doings - Page 3 502811600

I bet it's a wonderful morning in Mio.. children playing, laughing.. neighbors helping each other.. a delicate smile and wave.. the universal gesture of "hello, friend".. an American flag rustling in the wind like the warm symbolic welcome of grandma's apple pie emanating from her well-worn oven.. a pair of weathered work boots at the door - an indication of hard work surpassed only by a deep love of family and faith.
