Picking up a Number Super Carry HD .45 this week.

Next long gun will be a Savage .17 HMR in Snow Camo (aka the coyote killer)

I assume you got autocorrected on a "Kimber" Super Carry?

Let us know how it shoots. I'm not overly trustful of short 1911s, but hopefully you get a good one.

Nice. I have a stainless HD II  with a 4" ramped heavy bushinless barrel chambered for .38 Super. It runs like a Swiss watch and I can get 1,200 f.p.s. with a 147g. easy using VV 3N38. You won't be disappointed.

Edit. How long is the barrel? Most failures with short-barreled 1911s are caused by shitty magazines. I would buy, at the very leastn some Wilson 47Ds. Short barreled 1911s cycle very fast so you need a stiff spring in the mag to force next round up before slide starts to go forward.
If it's 5" you should be fine with Kimber mags.

I shot a Kimber last Thursday. The recoil on that fucker was strong at first, caught me off guard.

If you're looking for a good deal on a 1911, check out the Springfield Range Officer.  Lot's of nice little upgrades out of the box while keeping the price in the reasonable range.

Question for the gun experts, does one need a license to own or carry a captive bolt pistol?

No and there are two types, penetrative and non-penetrative (also known as the blanch type).

Shot a gun at a range this past winter, Glock 17.

It was great. That said, I don't have the money required to take a class, buy a gun, buy bullets, and buy a gun safe.

Thus, I am unarmed.

Ha! That would result in a hefty dose of sarcasm being injected into one of the more divisive topics in the gun world. On a serious note, the answer is get both.  tOfficial gun thread 3493939353

Well, of the 3 guns, I'm going to assume one is a 9mm, another a 45ACP, but the question is, what is the third?

it's the knuckle-dragger special.. .7 mm with a scope.

the main feature is that I can fire it at the scary people trying to kill me while my knuckles still drag the ground..

Um...Bob, you don't want to drag your knuckles while shooting at the scary people. Everyone knows that raising the gun above your head and using a throwing motion while you pull the trigger results in greater accuracy. You should watch more movies like Boyz n the Hood for proper form.

22LR were scarce a year or so ago.  Right after Sandy Hook.  People were fearing the big bad gubment was going to take their guns apparently.  Like your going to hold off the National Guard with a flipping 22.

I sold my ruger 22, so I don't know if it's still in short supply. I suspect not.

Also, its legal to commit a robbery and when the police roll up on you, you can assault them attempt to disarm them.

The only thing I know is that you cannot possess any evil "high capacity" magazines.

I wonder if Magpul ever left the state....

Edit: Magpul is in the process of leaving Colorado and will have fully moved operations out of the state by 2015.
