Parents have been Married 59 years today.

Damn. Not earth shattering news, but when they tied the not Eisenhower as our President was worried about the Russians and Sputnik hadn't been launched yet. Our highway system was just starting with Ike wanting one mile for every ten laid down to be straight so we could land aircrafts in war time. The internet was not considered and the Lions were the countries best football team.

I yelled at my mom once when I was a teenager. My father grabbed me and drug me into the den and said, "that might be your mom, but that is my wife, and nobody yells at my wife ever!" They still love each other as much to this day.

That's pretty kewl. I've been married for 26 years. Damn, it's impressive to think that I'll have to be married another 7 years before I'm married for half as long as them...

Congrats to your parents, DWags. Mine hit 55 years a couple of weeks ago and they're still putting up with each other. My own marriage lasted 16 years, 212 days. I can't even imagine 50+.

My grandparents will have their 64 anniversary in Sept. I've never seen any couple bicker at each other as much as they do. It's quite amusing. They're still in love though, even after all this time.

they live up in Manistee on Lake Michigan now. It's pretty cool fourth of July weekend up there. Fingers crossed my dad makes it if the lord is willing. If they're body is willing get your ass up there and party with us for a couple days.
