Super bummed out. My wife’s aunt never remarried but she has a boyfriend that is pretty much my wife’s uncle. Pretty tight family and am always out in Massachusetts with all of them. At any rate he lost his 19 year old son today to cancer and everyone is devastated. Really puts things in perspective. Health and our time with the ones we love is invaluable.

I was lucky enough to spend time with my 88 year old Dad and my 29 year old son on his first father's day. Doesn't get much better than that. Hell, I almost forgot it was fathers day for me too.

Loosing a kid in the family is the worst. Lost a 19 year old niece to a heart condition. Happened 20 years ago and still gets me to this day.

Very sorry to hear that. My only take away is just try to appreciate your time with friends, your loved one and that good health is where it's at. It's very easy to take for granted.

OK. I have a question.  I spend most of my time and weekends with my family.  If it's Father's day and I can do what I want,  why can't I go golfing? I'm with you every fucking day,  love you guys, but I wanna golf and drink. I don't love you less,  just let me relax.

Doesn't work like that.  You're the center of attention.  Put up with and appreciate it.  Only day of the year you get that much attention except your birthday, and maybe March 14th.

Jk, I’ve got Monday off of work for Juneteenth so I’m golfing at about 7 am that day instead

I told my wife a great father's day present for my would be my daughter golfing with me.  I can grill later in the day.
