I thought Trump campaigned on drawing down the American presence in the Middle East? This is what happens when you're so toxic that nobody will work in your administration except those who know how to pull your strings. In this case, neoconservatives who want regime change all over the world.

Exactly. I do not expect Iran to abide by the terms of a deal that A) the U.S. backed out of, and B) the U.S. is trying to pressure the other 5 states to back out of.

It really comes down to whether or not the drone was in international airspace. If it wasn't, if it was actually in Iranian airspace as they claim, then they were justified in shooting it down. If it was international airspace, as we claim, then shooting it down would seem to me to qualify as an act of aggression. Would be nice if we had some evidence to conclusively establish where the drone was.
