I'm with you. At this point I just don't see the logic in looking at the reclamation project coaches (Jones, Bielema, McElwain) and I tend to think we're facing a future where rolling the dice a bit on a young coach makes sense. NFL connections, 2019 Recruiter of the Year, Big Ten background, and he's going to get a head coaching job, NFL or college, soon.

Hartline - why not. Let's take some risks rather than settling for known mediocrity. Give him a budget to bring in some experience with his staff to balance out his weaknesses. Otherwise I think we're heading toward John L Smith levels of performance.

I'd support Barnett but I think Fickell has a point about culture. A clean break here might be helpful....
