NBA2K NBA Players Only Tournament

I'm gonna start a new thread on it because I'm hyped about it. Maybe no one else is and that's ok, I can talk to myself.

I learned a little more about the format. The players are seeded 1-16 based on their own personal rating in the game. KD is the 1 seed as he is a 96. Each player has pre-selected 8 NBA Teams that they will play with during the tournament. They can only use each team once during the tournament. Betting odds ARE available. It starts tomorrow at 7:30. All games will be streamed live on ESPN/ESPN2.

First round maybe blanket underdogs? How the hell are they making these lines?

Quarterfinals: Tuesday, April 7, ESPN2, 7-11 p.m. ET

Semifinals/Finals: Saturday, April 11, ESPN, Time TBD

Doing a $10 bracket challenge with 3 other Dads from the neighborhood. One entry for each of us and one for the boys. I took Beverley and the boy took KD. I'm definitely going to place some real wagers through betonline, as well. 7:30 tonight, giddy up.

This is pretty fun. But it's a total random draw. Like Lavine says he hasn't played since his rookie year? Trae says he just started playing during quarantine? Who picked these guys for this?

The series peaked around 2k16. It's been getting a little worse every year since then, in my opinion. Especially the MyCareer thing, they got greedy with microtransactions and ruined that shit.

Franchise mode seems way to much

We pretty much only play quick play and occasionally blacktop 5v5. That's kind of fun because you make a loaded squad of MSU guys from different eras. Mo Pete is on the All Time Raptors squad and J Rich is on some of the classic Warriors squads.

But in general - D is pretty impossible, especially if you are playing against someone like Lebron or Giannis or Kawhi. Also anything above the "Pro" level and shooting becomes damn near impossible.

Trae young and Jason teague lit me up like Klay and Steph, I beat the pacers though that's all the time I've had to put into it

I hope you're not playing with the Pistons. They are dreadful. Try the Grizz. Ja is a ton of fun to run the show with and he can rip off monster dunks.

OTPT did you get that future in on PB? I saw the updated odds today before the Quarterfinals and he was a slight fave to win it over Book at +225. They must know something that I don't because Book had his own horn set plays that he designed programmed into the game and he would dial them up. Ridiculous.

Current match has good trash talk. Drummond and Beverley. I under estimated Dre. He's up 6 at half. I think he takes Beverley down and kills my future. Beverley should have taken the Lakers.
