Florida medical examiners were releasing coronavirus death data. The state made them stop.

When the medical examiners’ list was available, it showed more deaths than the state’s count.

I was getting daily updates for Michigan from Gongwer. They stopped doing that about two weeks ago.

I imagine that makes everything worse. But it's almost impossible to prevent that. I hope it clears up soon.

Speaking of that, Duffy, how long apart were their drive through tests and blood tests? Any chance that they could have caught it in between the two or were both tests at about the same time? I think Sanjay Gupta mentioned that some tests are up to 15% have false negatives or false positives.

My father is in his final days and may not make through the night. He will die alone. Covid-19 is not the only reason he is dying but it is the reason my family can't be with him. Or with even each other.

To the people saying it's only the old or compromised affected by this, let's just open everything up, I say you just don't get it. But mostly I really want to tell them to fuck off.

Honestly I don't either. It's a new world. I've been hosting these meetings for a decade with electrical tape over my camera and all of a sudden clients and friends alike are telling me to take it off. Fuck that! that sucks, man. As you know, there aren't a lot of words for stuff like this. Thinking about you and your family. While not being able to have family is horrific, my suspicion (and I've read a lot of stories supporting this) is that hospital staff is keenly aware of how difficult this is for the patient and the family. I suspect someone will be there with him, talking to him, holding his hand. He can hear them, even if he can't respond, he's listening.
