I saw that too. It is a feel good type story. But I can imagine in the atmosphere some of the employees getting way overzealous and that could lead to some issues.

If anybody watches the video again, notice at the end, Isaiah Thomas grabs his jersey and holds him there. I don’t think that’s been noticed yet.

It's pretty much the standard for the mortgage banking industry. It's basically Boiler Room, Glengarry Glenn Ross and The Wolf of Wall Street all rolled into one.

Yeah, I worked at a small regional bank for a summer in the secondary mortgage area... sucked ass. Bros "buying and selling" and the target rates and shit. It was like the floor on wall street.

speak of overblown American opulence, do any of the local 517/East Lansing folks know what's up with the property that was Walnut Hills? I've been by there a few times on Lake Lansing Road and someone is building a freakin' mansion there.

Ishbia has Billion$ and he isn’t the first uber-wealthy person in SE MI to build a massive estate in SE MI or even the state.  Names like Ford; more recently DeVos come to mind.  Lumber barons, copper barons, automotive, pharmaceutical founders,  their families and even professional athletes like Matt Stafford have built or bought over the top estates in MI for over 100 years.

It’s getting big coverage because Ishbia knocked the the former local guy national mortgage king Dan Gilbert off his throne and Gilbert is calling in favors
