Selling repackaged  “refurbished” or “pre-owned”  sounds much better than used.

But talk about an untapped market.

The detained woman said she had received $0.17 (13p) for every kilogram of recycled condoms she produced.

The maximum weight of a condom (according to google) is 2 grams.  She gets paid 17 cents to boil, dry and reshape 500 condoms. 

I just don't understand economics of selling used condoms.

This is kind of the same economic problem with recycling in general.

"upcycled" seems to be a trendy word with the hip types.
