Stuff you should buy
Fellow Swillsters, I have an ever growing list of useless shit that I am amassing that I really like. I am sure you do, too. Don't get me wrong, I also buy stuff that I think I will like that I wind up never using. And then I feel bad. But this is for the good stuff. Please post your favorite items in this thread. This thread is for everyone but Bobby Sak as buying stuff for fun may be too mainstream for him.
Absolutely this. Assuming you don't live in an apartment. I use mine almost exclusively for cooking/lighting my smokers. But it's so cheap you minus well buy it for it's intended purpose. Hook a small propane tank onto it and you can burn the shit out of almost anything, and feel like a Ghostbuster doing so.

Next up is something I've commented on in the Q thread. A Thermapen by Thermoworks. Don't buy one if you don't enjoy cooking. If you do, buy it. I cook a lot for myself and my family. We eat weird. I use this thing every day and it is awesome.
http://www.thermoworks.com/products/thermapen/splashproof_thermapen.html
Next is a fun item. I just got this today, recommended on another forum. This is fun as ****. Current kill count is 7.
http://bugasalt.com/
Another fun item. I don't know what useful purpose this one solves but it's fun. I tried to take my kids' temperatures with this thing but it didn't really work. Still fun to point at stuff. And cheap as hell!
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1HE0FA8587&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-_-pla-_-Tool+Sets-_-9SIA1HE0FA8587&ef_id=U885WgAAAFzhIB4v:20140723044115:s
You should buy a cast iron skillet. A big one. At least 12". Again, if you cook. I have discovered how to cook some really good stuff using one of these. No link. Go to Bad Breath and Beyond and use a 20% coupon.
You should get a Spot Bot. If you have pets or kids. This thing is pretty handy. I have both (pets and kids). In numbers.
http://www.amazon.com/BISSELL-Spotbot-Handsfree-Technology-33N8A/dp/B003Y3AA2S
Speaking of.....you should get a Dyson handheld. Awesome. Expensive, but worth it. My dog is the size of a pony, and she has gastro issues. Have to clean up after the kids during a meal before she gets to it and sends herself to the hospital. Does the trick.
http://www.amazon.com/Dyson-DC58-Handheld-Vacuum-Cleaner/dp/B00GXFIS5A
And again, speaking of.....I have Weather Tech knock off mats in my vehicle. These are really nice if you live in Michigan during the winter in general, but especially nice if you have 2 Cheerio fucking eating little kids and a ginormous ass dog. No link. Find them your damn self.
What kind of weird junk do you have that you really like?

Fleshlight is a given. I didn't think I even needed to mention it. Also, get one of those iPad holders that lets you broadcast Sarah Palin's face while you're pumping.

I got the WeatherTech mats for the front row of my car based on great feedback from others on tRCMB. No kids, so I didn't buy the backseat mats. Love them so much I'm probably going to buy the cargo liner. Really great quality.

Yeah, they're nice. When I leased my current vehicle WT did not offer the mats for it. I went with knock offs. They're nice, but not as nice as the WTs I had for the old vehicle. Cheerios vacuum up pretty well but salt and dog hair, not so much.

I didn't get the custom fit liners for our lease car; only the one we bought. Figured they wouldn't properly fit whatever we lease in two years. I'm just using the factory mats for the lease. Thankfully, no kids to spill Cheerios, but the dog hair is another story.

Re: Stuff you should buy
I've been wanting to get a Thermopen, I know they go on sale a couple times a year for $74. I'm waiting for my Maverick to die before I pull the trigger.
I love using my cast iron skillet for chicken breast on the grill. I take a couple bricks and wrap them in foil and put them on top of the chicken to flatten it and allow it to cook more evenly while searing it to hold in moisture.

Just get one of these. It's very close in speed and just as accurate, and only $17: http://www.amazon.com/CDN-DTQ450X-ProAccurate-Quick-Read-Thermometer/dp/B0021AEAG2

Just ordered a Bug-a-salt. Might be the coolest thing ever.
I am afeared of Little Durden getting his hands on it as he has a tendency to run around the house with his dart gun firing on his sisters at will.

I love my Dyson Digital Slim, just like the handheld I think but comes with a longer attachment so you can use it like an upright vacuum too.

I spent 30 minutes in the garage yesterday when I should have been working.
Also spent probably a good 45 minutes combined yesterday and last night hunting two that got into the house.

Wizard's Worcestershire Sauce. I love anchovies but, try Wizard's once and you will probably never buy Lea & Perrins again. Excellent on grilled salmon with fresh cracked black pepper.
Tough to find at stores (Whole Foods and Papa Joes sometimes have it) but available online. The Hot Stuff is good, too

I know it's not really a high tech gadget, but after years of feeling like I was going to pass out face first into a pit of fire from blowing so much (laugh it up boys, laugh it up), I final broke down and bought one of these:

don't forget to get the Golden Retriever groomed before heading out to the cottage. you're gonna want the dog's coat nice and shiny for your family "blue jeans and white shirt" beach photo shoot.

on a related note, the last thing I want to think of when I hear this tune is a bunch of spoiled white folks - and their blue jeans and white shirts - with their finger on their beloved Instagram and Facebook account..
luckily, it'll take more than that to ruin a great tune..
